Exciting new merger with New Leaf

The Partnership is thrilled to have added an additional strand of work to our current programmes. As of 1st April 2011 we have been  working with New Leaf offering informal support, through volunteer mentors, to short term prisoners leaving custody. These volunteers are recruited from local faith and other voluntary and community groups.  Together we have worked to establish a Volunteer Service  to meet offending-related needs and reduce re-offending across the Thames Valley – this collaborative venture will enable New Leaf to extend their geographical remit beyond the existing area of Bucks and Milton Keynes.  It  also offers the Thames Valley Partnership  new opportunities  including using volunteers to staff our  new families court desks which were set up in September 2011.

Brainstorming!

We were delighted to join New Leaf at their recent Café Conversations event held on 4th October at Aylesbury College.  The evening brought together volunteers and steering group members for an informal evening of enthusiastic networking and ideas sharing!
