SHOUT Youth and Community Project

SHOUT was a youth and community development project set up in 2006 to address residents’ concerns about anti social behaviour and community cohesion on social housing estates in Oxfordshire. The main partners were Oxford Citizens Housing Association and Spurgeons.

The project was shortlisted in the National Housing Federation awards under the Partnership category and  Thames Valley Partnership carrried out an independent evaluation during 2007-09.

The SHOUT team is keen to share what it has learnt and to increase the work that we all do to tackle anti-social behaviour, develop community cohesion and improve intergenerational relations working with some of the most vulnerable and challenging people in our communities.  For more information and for the possibility of one free consultant’s session to give advice on setting up a similar project, contact David Trebilcock, Wendy Spray, or Paul Sanderson.
